Whistle Award The whistle award is an award given to the "best of the best" great dad stories submitted to us. There are no guidelines or objective criteria which you must follow to be eligible for the award. If we like your story well enough after we have read it, we may honor your story with a Whistle Award. The stories are not necessarily chosen based upon good grammar, or great spelling and punctuation. The prime criteria is how we feel after we read the story. We reserve the right to make all decisions as to who the recipients of the awards should be. The stories that we
designate Whistle Award recipients will be displayed with a small whistle ( Every once in a while, we will receive a story which we perceive as being so touching and so well written that we feel that we must give that story extra special recognition. Those stories will be listed in a special area in our Story Table of Contents and the authors will receive a special Oak Whistle mounted on its own base. It is our opinion, however, that all who submit their stories are winners, even if they don't receive an award, because they have taken the time to honor and express their love and appreciation for their great Dads.
