To My Daddy
by Benjamin Miller
Story 1016

What a lucky little boy I am,
To have a dad like you.
My mommy tells me all the time,
So I know it must be true.

My mommy loves you dearly,
She tells me every night.
What a lucky boy I am,
To have a daddy so sweet and bright.

When God sent me from heaven,
I surely didn't know.
That I'd have you to love me,
To hug and watch me grow.

You laugh and joke and smile at me,
And ask me "What's that smell?"
I can't wait 'til I can talk,
Then I'll be able to tell.

You and I will have such fun,
This I now can see.
You're such a joy to be around,
And you look a lot like me!

Today is your first Father's Day,
And it's my first too.
So let me take this time to say,
I truly do love you.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!

Love,
Benjamin
