My Dad is my Whole World
by Shelbi Colunga
Story 1007
My dad is my whole world, I'm a nineteen year old student going to college I pay
for it my self and I work a full and part time job. But my dad is a miracle.
He is my extra shoulder my extra strength and he is always their whenever I need
him, my love for him are no rules of less love that is for bidden.
We used to argue and fight sometimes but he always said sorry he was the one to
always forgive first and I learned from him that a fight never couseled or
helped would only leave a further wound behind.
My Dad was my vision when I was barely new he would rock me and tell me of what
is to come
My Dad was my Teacher when I was 1 he helped me learn how to walk
My Dad was my sermon when he read to me by light and taught me how to talk
My Dad was my protector when the scary monsters would not go away
My Dad was my strength overcoming the obstacles of letting me go to begin and
learn on my own
My Dad was my power to appreciate my faults and teach me the methods of good and
light
My Dad was my comforter from my broken tears of a saddened heart don't worry you
are worth more then that my dear he would say
My Dad was my shyness to conquer the tests and trials of graduationg to a higher
star
My Dad was my inspiration to become what I'm today the doctored daughter who
inspite of all her faults he still loved her all and all
My Dad was my best friend when the wedding took place he let me go through tears
of joy to believe in the miracle that barely had sight
but he gave her the world on rose-colored glasses to show that he loved her in
so many ways
And yet I know I'm only nineteen but my dad is my shield a part of me, he would
even drive at 9:00 am in the morning to buy his daughter
medicine and present it for his baby to get better no matter how late for work
or how hard it rains he is always their always and nothing
will ever change.
This is only a small token of why I love him so a small seed in the ground I can
only give but that small seed will grow and I will be like him
